I am working in a project with Final Cut X (10.4.6) and I have organized my photos and clips in iPhoto and for some reason I FC is not allowing me to drag and drop a photo into my timeline , I get this little circle with a diagonal line through it on an individual photo! Yet others I get a plus sign !

Hello! I am using Photos! Got it figured out! All the photos that were taken with my iPhone Xs Max were not fully downloaded! So an image was there but not the full image! So is iPhoto just an old name for Photos?

What is the type of this image? Where is it stored?
Try exporting it from iPhoto to your drive and import from there. If it still doesn’t work open it in Preview and resave it as png or jpg and try importing that.
No. Photos is a different application. iPhoto has been deprecated and will not work in future versions of the OS.

like I said the images have been imported from an iPhone XS Max and a Sony Nex 7!
to my 2015 iMac 3 TB fusion drive with the latest OS! They have been organized into a folder in iPhoto!
The only thing I can think of is I made a short one min edit using some of these same pics!
Or maybe some have not fully been imported from iCloud!

Incidentally, are you actually using iPhoto, and not Photos?
