Are you able to switch HDMI inputs using the Apple TV? For instance, if I am using a Roku on one input and I pick up the Apple TV remote and turn it on should my TV change inputs to the one that the Apple TV is on?

believe it may require hdmi-cec to switch to the appletv hdmi port
active input would not at all times be enough as many hdmi input devices could be transmitting image data at the same time if one has a console and sat box connected to the tv too
That would work assuming you have a TV that supports HDMI CEC. You would then need to make sure it is enabled, along with the Apple TV. If it doesn't work as expected then it would come down to an issue with CEC which is dependent on the the TV.
Yes. Apple TV if setup correctly will auto switch to the correct HDMI port.

I thought that was what the "Input / HDMI / Equivalent Button" on your TV remote was for. i.e. to cycle through the various connected devices until you find the one you are looking for.
