How can I link a remote control to Apple TV if there is no control linked that I can use to go to settings

Hello,

The only way to use the Apple TV Remote application you must have a physical remote to set it up.

You can buy a replacement remote, or borrow a remote temporarily to aid in the setup of the other remote.
