deleting address suggestions in 'Mail'

Is there a way of deleting the suggested addresses in drop down box when you start to enter an email address in 'Mail'?

iMac 27", macOS 10.14

From the Menu bar within the Mail app, select "Window", then "Previous Recipients". When the list appears, highlight the offending address(es) and then Remove from List
