How to know if I’m at maximum limit on iCloud calendars, if it’s why my devices are not syncing?

I have an iPhone 7 and an Air IPad, both are updated to latest software. The calendars are not syncing now as they always have before. Cannot figure out why. If the limit on information is the issue I don’t know how to determine that? Can I clear calendar dates/reminders on years past to reduce if needed?

Try going to iCloud.com using a computer to see if the items are there and which device they are from. That should show which device  isn't syncing. On the device that isn't syncing, go to Settings/Your Name/iCloud and disable syncing. After a couple of minutes, turn syncing on. Allow time for the sync to complete. As a last resort, you can also try signing out of iCloud and then sign in again.
