Can’t figure out how to move a photo from an “album” to just “Photos”

I’m at the end of my rope, here — could anyone give me some pointers on how to move a photo (that is currently stored in an album” into just my “Photos” folder?

I’m using an iPad Pro, and iOS 12.2.

The reason I need to do this is because I’ve created some images that I want to put in a Google Doc. But the Google Doc app will only allow me to import images from the “Photos” folder.

(If this is the wrong forum to ask this question in, please let me know — I couldn’t find a forum that worked specially with the Photos app.)

I don't use Shared Albums, but this might help you: Use Shared Albums in Photos - Apple Support

Also you might simply try pushing on the photo in the shared album and choose Save. It should save to Camera Roll

I may have misspoke when I said that the images were in my album — more specifically, they’re in a “shared album”. (I made the images in Procreate, which only allows me to export to a “shared album”.)

I have a couple of follow-up questions, then —

Should the files inside a shared album also be in the camera roll? (And if so, is there a reason they’re not showing in “Photos”?)
How can I move an image from a “shared album” to a normal album?

Demo posted a better way of saying what I was trying to suggest on saving a photo from Shared Album. Do what he suggests and you should be able to save the image to your camera roll as I suggested, but not as perfectly stated as he did.

In the Shared Album, tap on Select in the upper right. Then tap on the photo that you want to move in order to select it. Then tap the share/action icon (the icon with the square and the up pointing arrow). From there, select Save Image from the selections at the bottom. That will save the image to the camera roll.

If you put a photo in an album, it's already in your camera roll. An album is just a pointer from the camera roll. It is NOT a duplicate photo. Look for it in camera roll.
