Search engines malware

How do I remove DuckDuckGo from my list of search engines

I was looking it up on my iPad so I could remove it from my husbands laptop and it installed itself

Search engines listed in Settings>Safari>Search Engines, are default selections, and cannot be removed. Just choose one which suits your needs.
