Apple id and password

I send my iphone 5s at the repair service to change the broken screen an at the same time to unlock my iphone so I can use it when i fly back to visit my country

They called and asking my phone code but I remember before I sent it, it was not with code to open my phone.but they said It was with code and unfortunatly i already forgot the code coz im not using it for longto open my phone..So they said if I couldnt remember it ,they need my apple id and password,and thats the only choice and they will reset my phone and i will lose all my data or important files.

So I wanted to know if their will be danger if I told them my id and password
