Where do the samples go in Apple Books?

since the demise of iBooks, I have lost many sample books that I tried to save for future reading. I have been able to surmise that there is a time limit, although the tech I spoke with did not know what it was. I have had some success in putting the samples immediately into the Want to Read folder. Any other solutions to keeping lots of samples?

Apple Books will not view all Apple Voice Memos Hi, I have a folder of Apple m4a Voice Memos. I dragged them into Apple Books on my MacBook. Message: Imported 66 of 66. Failed: 0. But only 14 of them are visible and accessible. The others can not be searched, browsed or listened to. When I look in the file system for Apple Books in the Library folder, they are indeed present on the disk, but not visible in the GUI. I have tried to delete the folders, in hope to have them recreated, but no luck. Any advice?

Apple Books don't sync to iCloud When I add a PDF to the Books app in MacOS the file isn't uploaded to iCloud, even though it should be (according to the settings). I'm logged in to all my devices with the same Apple ID, but the file is not available anywhere else than locally on the Mac where it was imported. I have tried to log in/out and to turn off/on iCloud storage for the app, but nothing helps. Does anyone have an idea of what may be wrong?
