My unused $20 gift card...

I received my $20 gift card on the 8th of Feb 2013, and then my kids logged me into your system because I am old and did not know how to do it... so, for 6 & 1/2 years the $20 has been sitting on your system and I will NEVER use it... I am now 76 years old and still do things the old way, like buy a CD with music on, but never this "download" method of modern days...

Here then is my question please... can you refund me the money purely because I will never use it...

or,... use my $20 sitting in your system and then send me another iTunes gift card in the post so that I can give it away to one of my grandkids as a prezzie... or, what do you suggest...???

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE HELP ME...it is only $20 but to me at my age it is REAL MONEY... PLEASE...???

You're not making sense. You said you have a gift card. A physical item you can use towards the purchase of items in an Apple Store, or online at Apple.

The value of the card can't sit on Apple's system. It has a validation number on the back you reveal by scratching away the silver covering. Apple knows someone, somewhere has a card with $20 on it waiting to be used, but they have no control over when that will happen. In other words, the only place it's "sitting" is in your hands.

DO NOT post any details about the card here, or anywhere else on line. Especially not the validation code. Someone will immediately use it and then your $20 card will be worth zero.

You're not talking to Apple here. We are all other users and cannot help you do anything with the card other than make suggestions. And no, you cannot transfer the card's value to anyone. Just give the card to your grandson. Which is exactly, according to your reply, one of the "unhelpful" things I first suggested doing.

A gift card cannot be turned into cash. Give it someone you know who can use it as a gift. Or, have them give $20 in exchange for the card.

You are not helpful at all...!!! How can I give it to someone if it is sitting on my system and linked to my email and password etc...! Please be a little bit more caring and helpful... I am 76 years old as I told you and do not know all the fancy modern ways of doing things on the computer... If you are unwilling to help me, then ask somebody else to do that please... xx

I want to give it away as a prezzie to my grandson, so, if I give you his details can you not transfer it to him because I do not know how...? just tell me what you need so that you can do that... thanks... Lolly
