Problem Backing Up iPhone On iTunes

I can't seem to backup my phone on my iTunes. I keep getting an alert saying my computer doesn't have enough memory, even though I've cleared out a significant chunk of files. I currently have over 240GB of free space on my laptop and I've only used 91GB of storage on my iPhone...so I'm puzzled. Anyone can help shed some light on what's wrong?
