2nd Gen iPad Battery Draining Fast

I recently purchased a brand new 2nd gen iPad Pro (Amazon Prime Deal Day). I noticed the battery drains a lot quicker than my iPad Air and the only app I have loaded on there so far is YouTube.

Battery would go down about 15-20% in a matter of 30-45 minutes of watching videos (nothing in HD); but on my iPad Air I could watch 2 hours and the battery wouldn't drop that much.

Is this normal with the battery for the 2nd gen of iPad Pros? or do I need to return or send it in for repair?

Thanks!

iPad Pro, iOS 11

If your new iPad came with iOS 11, I'd recommend connecting it to your home computer and update iOS using iTunes. Let it fully re-index and then use if a couple days to see if battery life is normal.

Videos should use battery power faster. So that in itself isn't all that unusual. You can go to Settings > General > Battery and it will show you what is using the most power. Make adjustments as necessary there.
