MacBook Pro or an iMac for editing visual media

What would be the best product for editing visual media professionally? A MacBook Pro? Or an iMac?

MacBook Pro is a lightweight, portable computer that can run on batteries. Since it is portable, it is subject to HUGE G-forces from being moved about in a completely ordinary way. All the components in recent models are soldered down for maximum reliability. No internal upgrades.
If those features are not of critical importance, you are FAR better off with a desktop Mac such as an iMac.
