Hi! I want to sync my iPhone to my pc. I am an old user and synced my iPhone many times. But now when I connect my phone, iTunes prompt me to set it as new or from an old backup and this is something I don’t want to. What should be my next move?

Is it sure that it won’t format the device and lose everything?
Yes. It will get you through to another screen where you would be able to set up sync selections and sync your device, but that won't happen automatically. This alert confuses many people.

It happens sometimes. Pick Set up as new device. That won't change anything currently on the device, but will allow iTunes to connect to it and backup if you desire. If there is content on the device that isn't in your library see Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device - Apple Community.
