How to restore a non-responding HomeKit device?

I have several HomeKit accessories in my house. Every day, at least one accessory is "not responding." I have to delete each non-responding accessory from the Home app, reset the accessory, add it back in, wait an hour for the device to be added, and if that doesn't work, do it again. When it finally condescends to work, I have to reconstruct its automation. HomeKit desperately and immediately needs improvements:

It needs to be RELIABLE.

  • The setup code should be on the top of the accessory.
  • The process for fixing "not responding" accessories must be simple.
  • HomeKit must add accessories faster than the blazing speed of a Galapagos turtle.
  • The process for fixing "non responding" accessories must absolutely not include holy water, garlic, sage, crucifixes, prayers, exorcists, priests, or even sillier things such as restarting computers and routers, and signing in and out of Apple ID.

This is a customer discussion forum where customers support each other. I am a customer at Level 1 with 19 points with a problem, and I am looking for a customer—say someone at Level 10 with 281,032 points—who would either know the solution or where to find one. I guess I unwittingly set a trap for you by writing so passionately about my problem that you were ineluctably drawn into unnecessarily telling me that the customer discussion forum is a customer discussion forum. Sorry about that.
