Upgrading to Mojave

I have a MacBook Pro I purchased in late 2011and I also just upgraded the hard drive and RAM. Why is this not compatible with the Mojave update? It is saying that I cannot download and install it on this computer.

The attempts to download the installer from the App Store get the following message. This copy of the Install macOS Mojave application is damaged, and can‘t be used. Mojave requires a Metal-capable graphics card.
