Ethernet port drops connectivity

I have a Mac mini 2018 running Mojave 10.14.5

A Cable Unplugged status message appears periodically under my Network settings and my Ethernet shows disconnected. My WiFi is still connected and never drops.

Once I reboot my router (Fritz!Box 7490) my Ethernet is reconnected and active ... at least for a time.

As close as I can tell the disconnect happens around the time the router has a DSL error (which it states may be due to one of my Powerline adapters in the house {Devolo Plugs}.

(see entry at 12:50)

BTW, I had a rather stable Ethernet connection right after the last large update from Apple for Mojave! My connection did not drop for around 1-2 weeks. Right now it is within a matter of hours of rebooting my router that the Ethernet connection drops.

Any insights or assistance would be VERY welcome at this stage!

Thanks in advance!

I'm guessing, but it sounds like maybe one of your Power line (extender) adapters is faulty or loosing power. I can't tell by your screen shot, but note that each adapter has a spicific prefix # that might help you isolate which adapter is acting up.

In addition, I would move the Ethernet connection to the top of the Service list.

To do that, click on the cog down arrow box and select Set Service Order...

Then drag the Ethernet service to the top of the Service Order list and click OK.
