What do you think about Pixel Film Studio plugins?

They changed the installation process, no more manual installation to Motion Movie folder.

The scary part is that it requires to restart the computer, WHY? I am normally skeptical restarting unless its a must, like OS security update. I decided to give it a chance and after restarting it says please let the plugin finish installing it gave me an error while it was installing new fonts.

After that when I try to open FCPX 10.4.6 it says that the FCP is damaged. I had some problems with their plugins before that crashed my computer. Good thing that I had the time machine back up.

Does anyone encountered to these kind of issues, and what is the solution? Otherwise I will have to stop buying their plugins.

I don't have any plugins by Pixel Film Studios and I never will. Same goes for Ripple Training or any of the other providers. Simple reason, I create ALL of my own and I do not want to have any of the others on my system because I never want to be accused of copying somebody else's work.

That said — reports are

MotionVFX complained (quite publicly) that PFS ripped off (at least) one of their plugins... almost exactly, and

PFS has a very poor track record for customer support.

That's the reports. You have to make up your own mind. As always, proceed with caution.
