Spectrum eMail Setup Failure on iPhone X

Every time I try to set up my Spectrum e-mail account on my iPhone X (iOS 12.3.1), it just hangs up indicating that it's verifying the server info. I've waited for an hour or more several times but it never completes.. Is there a way to manually enter the correct server info so I can use e-mail?

Setting Up Spectrum Email on your iPhone

To set up Spectrum Email on your iPhone:

  1. Open Settings and select Passwords & Accounts.
  2. Select Add Account > Other > Add Mail Account.
  3. Enter your name, email address, password and account description, then select Next.
  4. When prompted, enter the Spectrum email settings below and select Save.



Email Settings

  • Username: Your full Spectrum email address
  • Password: Your Spectrum email password
  • SSL: On
  • Protocol: IMAP
  • Incoming Email Server: mobile.charter.net
  • Port: 993
  • Outgoing Email Server: mobile.charter.net
  • Port: 587
  • Requires Authentication: Yes, or checked
