Can you still buy a single song from iTunes? I keep trying to but it redirects me to Apple Music which I do not want. I click the not now button and then it just takes me back to the song list. Do you have to have the Apple Music?

You can still buy music through iTunes without subscribing to Apple Music. If you are doing it from your iPhone, use the iTunes Store app, not the Music app.
