ipad pro keypad

My Pro keypad stopped working a few months back. Seems to have been related to an IOS update. I get a message window that pops up regularly saying "accessory not support". I believe it is related to my keypad. It is the apple keypad/cover for the 11" ipad pro. Wondering if there is a fix available.
