Looks like no one’s replied in a while. To start the conversation again, simply ask a new question.

Macbook Pro 15 2016, Crashes after wakeful output since the July 22 security update in Sierra.

I've tried all procedures without any effect.

Apparently, I'm not only alone in this case.

I'm hope a fix by Apple for this problem.

This is a direct result of having run the 004 Security Update on July 22. Please issue an actual fix. Don't tell us to use Safe Mode or reinstall our OS or somehow blame us.

An issue I'm having, besides the kernel panic on wake, and requirement to fully log in every time, is that, when putting the MBP (2016 touchbar 15" Sierra) in Sleep mode by closing the cover, the case back plane quickly becomes extremely hot. I have been simply doing a full Shut Down at day's end; I don't want to be the victim of a possible battery explosion or fire. I doubt if Apple wishes to have liability for such either. This is unacceptable.

Same story on High Sierra and a Macbook Pro 15" 2016! I do hope that early Monday, Apple will have an official stand on this problem inflicted by its own Security Update.

Is anything being done before users do more damage to their computers trying every possible venue? If at least Apple could invite people to be patient by revealing that they are indeed working on a fix instead of letting everyone speculate...
