Apple Pay on my Watch

I have a card set up on my phone, I want to use it on my watch. The message on the watch is card not verified you can verify it from the Apple Watch app on your iPhone. I have ticked mirror phone on the app but i still have the message. Card is verified with the bank so I can use it on my way home but not on my watch, can anyone help?
