Two Factor Authentication Without Second Device

Hi All,

I'm trying to log in to my Apple ID after performing a factory reset on my Macbook, however it won't let me access my ID without two factor authentication and says it is sending codes to my other devices. The problem is I don't have any of the other devices I have previously used with my Apple ID.... Any suggestions?

Cannot sign in using Apple ID to complete 2-factor authentication Finally decided to enable 2-factor authentication on my iMac, but my PW was declined. Is there a way to get two-factor authentication without signing in to iCloud? I wanted to set up two-factor authentication. But the instructions seem to require me to sign into iCloud. I do not want to have an iCloud account. I do not want my Mac to be connected to iCloud in any way, shape or form. I just want a two-factor authentication on my Apple ID without having a cloud service. Is there any way to do that? (I do not have any iOS device, only a Mac running Mojave).

If you no longer have your trusted device, you can try these steps and then request account recovery.
