Error Code: 4M0T /4/40000003: HDD - 1240

I'm receiving this error code in the diagnostics test utility. After research, I see that 4M0 is fan issues, T is temperature, and HDD is obviously hard drive issues.

My questions are:

Is replacing the Fan and the HDD needed for this issue?
Could I just replace the HDD to have a functioning iMac?
If the former is needed, is DiY Fan replacements easy? How much are they?

Help Decoding Apple Hardware Error Code: 4MOT/4/40000003-HDD-1319 or 4MOT/4/40000003: HDD-1276 I have a Late 2009, 27" iMac. It has been a solid machine and served me quite well over the years. Finally over the last year, I started having some issues with it. Most recently it is failing to boot up. It plays the chime, gets half-way through the progress bar, then glitches out to a white/gray screen. Then it sits there for a few minutes and then tries to reboot itself. After trying a few possible fixes, such as PRAM and SMC reset etc, I decided to run the Mac Hardware diagnostics. That gave me the following two errors. Quick Test: 4MOT/4/40000003: HDD-1276 Extended Test: 4MOT/4/40000003-HDD-1319 I am trying to see what these errors mean. I know that a 4MOT error has to do with fans. And the HDD part makes me think this has to do with the Hard Disk fan. What I am trying to figure out is the numeric part of the error code. Is it telling me that the fan unit has stopped working, or if this a temperature sensor issue/something else. I am hoping someone with access to these codes, or prior knowledge about them can help decode these for me. Thanks!

CPU Fan Non Stop Dear friends, I have a imac 21,5" Mid 2011. Suddenly, the CPU fan start to run at full speedy and non stop. I realized the apple hardware test and the error 4MOT/4?40000003: HDD-1358 appears. What this code means? Thanks for your help, MTE17

(error code 0xFFFFFFFF80020000). The disc can’t be burned because an unexpected error occurred (error code 0xFFFFFFFF80020000). I have cleaned the superdrive heads, and I have tried to burn at a lower speed. I have two superdrive and I have tried them both - which tells me it's probably the software update of my Mac. I'm using iMac 27 inch, 2020 on Ventura 13.4. Thank you.

Rather than attempting to guess the solution, you should immediately take the computer to your local AASP to be correctly diagnosed and then get a repair estimate.
