Imac 2006 updating

Just got a brand new iMac 2006, I wanted to know if I could buy snow leopard and get this computer working better?

Snow Leopard will come with an old version of Safari. The bad news is that most web sites will reject it due to its age.


Finding a browser that supports any Mac os older that about 10.9 is getting very hard. Even the old standbys like Sea Monkey have dropped Snow Leopard support.

I recommend not using the links that the Level 2 user posted. There are to sites and apps totally out of my knowledge base. Hopefully someone having experience with specific old browsers that still work will chime in.
