I just went to use my airpods and I am not able to open the case, no matter how much force I put into it I cannot manage to open it. does anyone know how to fix this or why it might have happened ?
Sounds like something is wrong with the hinge. I wouldn't try forcing it anymore. Take it to an Apple Store for evaluation.

If you're having difficulty opening the case, I'd recommend taking it into an Apple Store or Apple Authorized Service Provider to have a Genius or Apple-certified technician look at the case and assist you.
