1. Please check this article for the options to backup your device, including iTunes or iCloud. How to back up your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch - Apple Support
2. If you are not seeing your device in iTunes, please check this article: If iTunes doesn't recognize your iPhone, iPad, or iPod - Apple Support
3. Also verify third-party security is not interfering. This article will help: Resolve issues between iTunes and third-party security software - Apple Support
