iPod touch (6th generation) Charging Problems

I got the "accessory not supported" on a charger that i know works. So i cleaned the charging port with a blast of air, and i reset my device. It worked....for the most part. My device will charge extremely slow. There is no lightning bolt next to the battery icon when it is on the charger and in fact charging. It will be on the charger for HOURS, but struggling to reach full battery. When it does reach full battery, the battery lasts about 15 minutes. Then i put it back on the charger and the cycle continues. Please help!!

Have you tried a hard reset of your iPod by holding down both the Home and sleep/wake buttons simultaneously until your iPad goes to black and restarts with Apple logo, then release the buttons?

Also, it maybe possible your iPod Touch’s battery is failing.

Bring your iPod Touch into your nearest, “local” Apple Store for diagnosis, evaluation and potential options.

An iPod Touch out-of-warrant battery replacement will cost approx. $79 U.S.D.

Best of Luck to You!
