Docking Station for MacBook Pro

I just got the new version of the MacBook Pro as my work laptop and I am frustrated at the change in ports to USB-C, but more importantly in the lack of ports overall. How am I supposed to connect a charger, keyboard, wireless mouse, extra monitor and ethernet cable all to my computer with only 2 ports? I see docking stations out there on Amazon, but they don't seem like they would even work for this

For easy charging and data transfer. use these two adapters, provided in the Apple Store:

  • USB-C Digital AV Multiport Adapter - Using this adapter you will not lose the USB-C port to charge your Mac; you can access an external monitor/projector with the AV HDMI port; and, you can access your USB-A Device.

and...

  • Belkin USB 3.0 4-Port Hub + USB-C Cable - Using this adapter, you will have access to up to 4 USB-A devices; you will also not lose the USB-C port to charge your Mac. Most importantly, it uses an external power device, for easy of device accessibility and use.

My mid-2012 MacBook Pro (non-Retina) only has two USB 3.0 ports. There are some expensive Thunderbolt 3 docks, but if all you really need is charging then there are some decent USB-C only docks that should work. Maybe something like this one?

I know it's a pain trying to figure out what you might need (especially on a budget) but the move to Thunderbolt 3/USB-C does have certain advantages in terms of power, speed, and flexibility.
