Why does the ringer volume drop to nothing each time my cars Bluetooth connects to iPhone X? Even when manually turned up, volume zeros out with one touch of the vehicles volume control.

Apple could never figure this out when I contacted them and spoke with someone. I discovered that when I go in under the sounds for the ringer volume, I turned off where it says “change with buttons,” it fixed the problem for me.
Feel free to get a masters degree in computer science from a very prestigious university. Once you have mastered coding and programming after 5-10 years apply to Apple and rewrite the software. The problem is frustrating you obviously have no clue about the amount of time and effort it takes it write a software program let alone an entire software platform. There is no way a test can be done to make sure every car manufacturer in the world works with iOS.
Thanks Dennis, yes that works. Yes it a pain if you need to adjust the volume to go into the settings every time but at least it won’t turn down.

I have tried the work around that was previously posted with minimal success. My iPhone 8 volume control buttons do not disable even when toggled off in settings.
Ios 13.2.3...... the issue are still not solved. Very very very anoing!
Same issue with my 2019 Silverado. Apple needs to hire someone who knows how to fix this.

They did not fix it in the last update. Maybe the folks at Apple could ask Google for some help. Android does not suffer from this issue.

I tried that, had no impact, and the story is more complicated than that.
I recently tried to bring this to Apple’s attention again, and cited this page. They more less told me they don’t care and I have to go talk to my car dealership. Great customer service Apple.....
2019 Sierra. Nothing works to stop ringer volume decrease. iPhone 8’s. 13.3 and 13.2.3 both affected. Does anyone from apple listen to our complaints???

Apple told me it’s GM’s problem. They offered absolutely no advice besides go to a dealership. Apple is ridiculous. Might be time to switch to Samsung if they refuse to help...
Well...iOS 13.3.1 public release did not help this irritating and unacceptable problem.
