In a previous number version (09), I was able to move table titles within a given pane. With Numbers version 6, that seems impossible.. Please see image below. I would like to list table titles so it matches how my tables are laid out from top to bottom.
Does anyone know how to do that?

You can change the order in which tables are listed by using the Arrange menu.
Bring a table "Forward" moves it toward the bottom of the list.
Sending it "Backward" moves it toward the top of the list.

order is set, unfortunately for your situation, by the order the tables are added.
you can cut and paste to order the tables
you can also post feedback to Apple using the Numbers menu item "Numbers > Provide Numbers feedback"
Your suggested workaround seems like the only option for now. For sure, I'll provide a feedback to Apple. Thank you for your help!
