Check mark in iTunes 12.9.5.7

I just got a new PC and installed this latest version of iTunes. I no longer see "check marks" as a view option for songs on iTunes Music. Can anyone tell me if this has been removed? Is there away to enable them? I'm a college radio DJ and I've long used check marks to tell me whether or not I've played a song on the radio.

Thanks!

The feature has not been removed. It is still there, in the Songs View, the tick boxes are shown to the left of each song title.

However, if they are not there in your Songs view, go into Edit/Preferences/General>Show: List view tickboxes and click on the box to add the tick.

Note the wording "list view". I think the wording is wrong, since all the other "list views" (for example: your Library/Albums View and click on View/View As/List) never show the tickboxes. But all is not lost. In the Albums view for example, simply right-click a song and choose Untick selection from the pop-up mneu to remove the tick and Tick selection to turn it back on. In that view, an unticked song will be light grey, while a ticked song is in full black.

I had this problem too, all of the check marks were "grayed out" when I had my ipod plugged in. After I disconnected my ipod, I was able to uncheck songs.

I'm not sure that's the same situation that the original poster asked about.

In your case, when your iPod is connected to your iTunes Library, if you look on the iPod from iTunes, the tick boxes will be greyed out. That's because you cannot untick them there. Instead you need to control the content of your iPod from iTunes, not on the iPod.

In other words, do not look under Device/<iPod name>/Music, but look instead at the iPod icon at the top of your iTunes window:

... and then click on Settings/Music to see and set Sync options for your iPod:

... which then shows this screen:
