2012 Macbook Pro Won't Update

I have a mid-2012 macbook pro that won't update to 10.13.1, or anything after 10.11.6. I read that this model is supposed to be compatible what should I do?

What is your current macOS?


You may have to stair step up

Typically you are always better off running the most current macOS you machine will allow—especially for the built in security features.
