CarPlay with 2020 Elantra

Hi. I have a 2020 Elantra preferred.

I Turn off my Bluetooth on my iPhone 6 which has the latest software and connect to Apple CarPlay. Everything works and I can make calls and use Siri for messaging. The problem I see is that when I connect my iPhone to the USB port the Bluetooth on the touchscreen is disabled. I wanted to use the phone for CarPlay and my iPod Bluetooth for music. I hope this is possible. I could connect the iPod using the aux cord but can only use the volume and not skip song button. I would have to hold the iPod and select skip which is against the law.

Hope you can help as there is just no room on my iPhone for music.
