Do I have to use a password on my iPad 6th generation wi-fi every time I turn it on? If not how can I turn that part off. This iPad is going to be for a person with disabilities and I'm not sure they will know how to use the password each time. It's easier to just tap the icon for what they want to do.

It is not recommended, but you can disable it.

Just so I can be on the same page as you, this iPad requires the WiFi password to be entered every time iPad is unlocked? Is the WiFi network in question one where you authenticate on a pop up window, which displays a web based authentication screen, instead of the standard iPad WiFi password screen?
My question isn't about the wi-fi password. When I first opened this iPad it asked if I wanted to use a password for the iPad. I said yes not realizing the password would have to be entered every time the iPad shut down. I'm wondering how I can get rid of the password sign-in.
I did disable the pass code. I know it's probably not the best answer but I think this the only way she will be able to do. Always have to make changes for disabilities.

If she will always be using the iPad in a trustworthy environment, no passcode is low risk.
