There all the sudden is a black screen & doesn’t charge?

iPad 7th generation suddenly stopped working. iPad 7th generation suddenly stopped working. (Fine the day before) Black screen which switches to a flashing Apple logo when plugged in but goes black when unplugged. Got to restore screen but this goes if unplugged. Tried all the online fixes using the buttons but nothing works, obviously can't plug into our computer to reach iTunes for restore because the tablet dies when unplugged. Do we think this is a battery isue or something more serious. This tablet is lightly used, never dropped always kept up to date and only two and a half years old, took it to local iStore who hadn't got a clue really! Any help or advice appreciated.

What do I do if my tablet went black on won't turn back on? My tablet suddenly turned off and won't turn back on and it was working just fine up until that moment. What do I do and how do I fix it?

Do you have another Apple power block and another charge cable to test to make sure these items aren't the ones that failed?

Failing the above tasks, your iPad may have a possible battery issue or other hardware issue/s.

Bring your iPad into your nearest, “local” Apple Store for diagnosis, evaluation and potential options.
