You didn't buy an iPhone X "recently" because Apple stoped selling them almost two years ago.
The iPhone X was discontinued in September of 2018 and has not been available from Apple itself since then. Some sellers may have old stock that they are still selling, but if you have an issue with a device you purchased from a seller other than Apple, you’ll need to discuss returns or exchanges with that seller.
