Why is my “Clear History and Website Data” grayed out in my Safari settings?

Have you checked Settings/Screen Time for any restrictions?
Try a restart.
Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
Try a forced restart.
If necessary
You will need to restore the device to factory settings. Do not restore from a backup made when the Screen Time code was active.
Backup - Restore your device from an iCloud or iTunes backup

The settings looked correct, but I disabled Screen Time just as a precaution, and it solved the problem! Re-enabled Screen Time in an attempt to recreate the problem, but it didn’t. Must have been a glitch in the settings.
