Help - where has all my data gone!

I just shut down my imac moved it to another room and all my data has gone!

Everything seems to be empty like it is a new machine! What could have possibly gone wrong?????

iMac Data Drive Is there a hidden 'iMac-Data' drive on my iMac hard drive? My computer is so very slow and it shouldn't be. I have a late 2015 iMac 27-inch desktop, and when I moved all my files from my previous Mac, I noticed there was an 'iMac-Data' drive that was accessible. I made another one on my desktop and that's where I store my files. However, now I cannot find the 'iMac-Data' drive on my hard drive, like it's hidden and unaccessible... My question is this: IF I have two of the same drives, does this mean I have duplicate files that could be bogging down my Mac? It's the only thing I can think of that's hogging all the space. Any assistance would be very much appreciated. I'm not too tech savvy so please try to keep replies simple. Thank you!!
