Dock doesn't match the wallpaper

I had some problems and I had to do the restart with shift key and ever since it restarted the dock doesn't match the wallpaper like it used to... it used to be the same colour kinda like transparent and now it is just full grey, also the bar on top of the screen.... how do I change it to be like it was before? I tried the transparency box in the settings but it is still the same
