Skip the rice, only use the silica gel packets if you are in a hurry, and DO NOT use a hair dryer at all, that will force moisture back into the device. I sweat heavily and have not had any sweat get into the Watch, are you saying this has already happened? If so, make a Genius Bar appointment at your nearest Apple Store, the salt has already damaged your Watch and will only get worse.

In addition to turning the crown in an upward motion to expel any water, you might try Leave the watch somewhere warm and dry for a day or two. Silica gel packets or rice can help draw out the water from inside the watch. Direct a fan at the watch or use a hair dryer on the lowest heat setting to blow air on the watch. Lastly, you could place a piece of scotch tape over the crown and side button during periods of extensive exercise.
