Can i trade in a Iphone 6s that has water damage?

I recently dropped my iphone 6s in water and i did everything i could to save it. Everything seems to work fine except for the screen display. It has horizontal lines and glitches a little. So my question is does apple accept water damaged iphones?

Probably not.

They'll run a diagnostic on it to see if there are any hardware problems. Then they'll at least look at the moisture detectors inside the SIM card slot. To get a trade in value it will need to be in good condition. Even if it's just the screen assembly damaged with no moisture detected and everything else good, they would probably require you replace the screen before accepting it for trade in. On a 6s Apple charges $149 plus tax in the United States for a screen replacement. The trade in value in the US is $100 if in perfect condition.

If it works for you, it might be worth just keeping it and repairing the screen assembly. I would recommend having Apple assess it.

Mabye, Apple does the trade-ins for the material not the screen.

They don't care about the material. It's pretty obvious when one checks for the value and they only offer to recycle for free when the answer is that the screen is cracked or otherwise damaged. The only reason why Apple (or their partner) would want to pay for a used iPhone is to refurbish it and offer it as a replacement device.
