Payment method subscriptions

If I have a subscription that is currently being used, do I have to wait for it to expire for me to start having my payment method to “none”?

No, they don't have to expire, stopping all subscriptions (including iCloud Storage if you have it) from auto-renewing might let you remove the card : If you can't remove your last payment method or use no payment method with your Apple ID - Apple Support

So far, I did most of those things as best I can. I tried checking for unpaid bills (which I had none), I tried checking my subscriptions which had nothing for me to turn off, I even have family share off. I tried changing my payment to none in my computer right this moment and I see no options for “none”. I tried on the apple website itself, I did see the “none” option, but when I save the process it just keeps asking for a payment the moment I try to get an app.
