iTunes disappeared from my Macbook Pro (Mid 2012) Mojave 10.14.5

When I try to open iTunes from Finder, the message is, "The application 'iTunes' is not open anymore." My iPhone 6 is unaffected. What the heck happened to my music and podcasts?! Thanks!

Reboot your computer. Try again. If needs be reinstall Mojave to reinstall iTunes. See Empty/corrupt iTunes library after upgrade/crash - Apple Community if you have any issue with your library after reinstalling.
