Cannot link Apple Family member to Alexa

I have a family music membership, yet only the main Apple ID (mine) can be linked to any of our Alexa devices. Whenever I try and link one of the other family members' accounts I get the 'Linking unsuccessful' message appear.

I've tried doing it on iPhone/iPad, laptops and iMacs with a host of different browsers but absolutely nothing works.

There must be a way around this before I have to cancel and go back to Spotify??

I just finished an hour-long customer care call with Amazon. The very kind operator guided me through all the familiar steps that I was sure wouldn't work. Then after a long wait she told me that an advanced team rep informed her that Apple Music "invitee" (family) accounts cannot link to Alexa. Only the main account can link to Alexa. A major problem with this, of course, is I don't want anyone's spins/plays (Spongebob, Ghostbusters soundtrack) to affect my personalized Apple Music account (For You section, for instance). Not sure which party is limiting this cross-platform user experience, but I'm guessing it's Apple Music.

i observe the following (family plan, Alexa skill in Germany)

1st: Linking works for my 13 year old daughters

2nd: Linking does not work for my 11 years old son

Both have Apple ID with their regular Birthdates, are members of the family plan and use Apple Music on their Apple-Devices succsessful. They both use Two-Factor-Auth on their Apple ID.

How old are the Family Members where linking is unsuccessful?
