deleting iMessages from iCloud

with four devices linked to the same iCloud apple ID - how do I delete select messages from iCloud?

If you are syncing messages using iCloud, delete the message off one of the devices. That should delete it from iCloud and all devices. If you aren't syncing messages using iCloud, the only way to delete it from iCloud is to delete each device's iCloud backup. Then delete from each device and make a new backup.
