Account recently recovered - potentially stolen giftcard

Hi, someone recently took ownership of my iTunes account that I don't really use (It had a very old weak password, likely cracked or in stolen password databases). I've recovered the account yesterday but it looks like a giftcard was added and multiple purchases were made by whoever stole access to the account.

Is there an official channel to report this? Should I care or just move on with life?

You can report it to iTunes Support. Either use the form or scroll to the bottom of the page in the 2nd link. Follow through the screens to get a chat or telephone option.  You may need to pick a problem that is slightly different than yours to get a chat option.
