podcasts plays backwards

So this is about iTunes on my pc, not my iPhone unfortunately that wasn't an option. thank you apple for acknowledging that everyone can't afford a MacBook, can't even support the software you make for other devices? I can't get my podcasts to play in the correct order on iTunes no matter what. I have changed the "Play from oldest to newest" back and forth a thousand times and no matter which option its on they still play backwards??? any suggestions cause this is very frustrating.
