Stutter in scrolling Apple News stories and iMessages messages with picture attachment

Hi Just bought MacBook Pro 2019 15 inch model with base config (2.6 GHz Intel Core i7, 16 GB 2400 MHz DDR4). There are certain apps, specially Apple News and iMessages (for messages where pics are being shared) does not feel fluid and I can see stutter while scrolling.

Is that usual, as I would not expect that from apps made by Apple? Just to add, it doesn't have anything heavy running at any time.

Sorry, I don't have Apple News or an OS later than 10.13.6 to test, but have seen some complaints & returns on newer Minis & Laptops, some with more than 1 return. :(

Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at bootup), does the problem occur in Safe Mode?

System Preferences>Network, unlock the lock if need be, highlight the Interface you use to connect to Internet, click on the advanced button, click on the DNS tab, click on the little plus icon, then add these numbers...

8.8.8.8

8.8.4.4

System Preferences>Network, click on the little gear at the bottom next to the + & - icons, (unlock lock first if locked), choose Set Service Order.

The interface that connects to the Internet should be dragged to the top of the list.

Apply.
